NZB is a farming game where the player will manage a small space station, using limited resources to grow plants and perfect gene lines for more efficient growing cycles. Rather than utilizing an ever-expanding space, the player will have a station with as few as 16 plots of land. Aside from space constraints, the player will have a limited amount of water, sunlight, and minerals to allocate. They will have an initial stock of seeds to choose from, however each successive harvest will produce slightly mutated seeds. To excel, the player will choose the best seeds from each generation to move forward, perhaps one that requires less water as an example.

Hello! i really liked your game, but found some bugs and improvements, here is a list of them:)
The saves don't work on both the web and windows version. It is also impossible to transfer harvested crops to your inventory through the teleporter in the windows version.
I have also had trouble getting the windows version to properly open for a solid minute, my anti-virus thought it needed a back- and front-round check for some reason. but i think that is mostly my specific anti-viruses vault still thought to bring it up in case it wasn't a "my anti-virus" problem. in the web version you can use two tree plots, but a bit off screen there is another one, in the windows version you can fully use all three, so there must be some sort of bug preventing me from accessing the third tree plot.
I don't know if i just didn't see it, but it would be nice to have the water, sun, harvest and that other button key bound, it would make it much easier and quicker to tend to the crops. the amount of arrows pointing at so many different things in the tutorial makes it hard to follow. still a good game of these issues and bugs are fixed.
i also wanted to ask why the window's version has a different interface and tutorial then the web version, the window's version seems more suitable for android phones and tablets than it does to larger computer screen.
good luck on your coding adventures:)
Hi!
I appreciate the feedback, wish I checked itch.io more often. I have been on-off of this project, and unfortunately more off lately as I have been travelling and have a job again (working for a game company!). And I'm so glad you had fun with the game : )
I can explain the reason for some of your issues. The reason for the web and desktop versions being different is because they are actually just different versions. As of me writing this I have no idea which one is more up to date. Also, the windows one gets caught by anti-virus because I don't have a "certificate" for it, and it's only been downloaded a handful of times, so windows never learns to trust it. You make a good observation that the windows version is more suitable for mobile phones, and that is because during playtesting with my friends, a few people suggested to make it a mobile game. You can access a more up to date version here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SolidSteelSoftware.NeonZealotB...
I 100% agree about key buttons making more sense for the windows version. I also agree that the tutorial isn't super clear, tutorials are a surprisingly difficult part to get right with a game. It's simultaneously too long and doesn't explain enough. I love my game, but if there's one reason people aren't playing it, I'd bet it's the intro experience. And I've played my game so much more than everyone else, it's tough to know how to fix it.
IMPORTANT:
I regrettably have no idea why your saves aren't working on desktop. They definitely do work for the mobile version. The saving system probably needs to be different for webGL and I never learned that, it was never intended as a web based game. In my opinion, it makes the most sense to make the game great for one platform before putting more effort into polishing it on every platform.
Unity is causing me some real grief for my android builds and has stalled my progress lately. I have this really cool plant interbreeding mechanic I have been testing but I can no longer make a working game for android, and it's been painful trying to fix this. I do intend to keep working on this game because I really love it. Every comment like this means a ton to me for my motivation : )
